Coopagri Bretagne came about as a result of the mutual aid spirit that exists in Brittany, and it was formed as an agricultural co-operative i.e. a grouping of farmers who decide to join forces in order to process and market their produce together. This project revolved around the strong values shared by all involved. |

| We think so, because our concern for decentralisation, information, transparency and for a local service for our members enables us to maintain our objectives of equity, democratic control (one man, one vote), involvement and finally respect and consideration for human-beings. Today, this ideal is clearly illustrated in the role that we can play in environmental, regional development and food-safety issues. |
