Coopagri Bretagne came about as a result of the mutual aid spirit that exists in Brittany, and it was formed as an agricultural co-operative i.e. a grouping of farmers who decide to join forces in order to process and market their produce together. This project revolved around the strong values shared by all involved.
We think so, because our concern for decentralisation, information, transparency and for a local service for our members enables us to maintain our objectives of equity, democratic control (one man, one vote), involvement and finally respect and consideration for human-beings. Today, this ideal is clearly illustrated in the role that we can play in environmental, regional development and food-safety issues.
